All about Mick

I’m Mick, a celebrant working in and around North Yorkshire. As a family man with lots of life experience to draw from, I understand the importance of creating the perfect ceremony for you and your loved ones, whatever milestone you have reached.

I was drawn to celebrancy after my Mum’s funeral a few years ago when I realised the positive difference a professional celebrant can make.

I completed my training with the International College of Professional Celebrants, (I.C.P.C.) and I am DBS checked. My mission is to provide the very best celebrancy service I can by ensuring every one of my ceremonies is uniquely tailored to your family’s requirements.

Whether it’s welcoming the one’s we love, celebrating a lifetime of love or remembering the ones we love, I’m here to tell your story – to help you to find the right words.

Creating heartfelt moments that last a lifetime

Thoughtful ceremonies designed to honour life’s most meaningful occasions.

Remembering The Ones We Love

Funerals and Memorials Being asked to conduct a Funeral Service or a Memorial is a huge honour.

Every person is unique and their eulogy should be crafted to ensure their funeral celebrates them and the life they led.

I will meet with the family to craft a meaningful and personal ceremony that truly reflects the life that has been lost and builds on the memories they cherish.

Throughout the process we will discuss the delivery and content of the service and I will liaise with the Funeral Director to ensure the ceremony is all the family hoped it would be.

Celebrating A Lifetime Of Love

Vow Renewals

Celebrate your love with a ceremony that reflects the life you and your partner have shared together and declares the dreams and aspirations for the adventures yet to come.

A vow renewal ceremony is a declaration of your love for one another through a reaffirmation of your vows. Often held on a special anniversary or to mark a significant milestone in your life, the vow renewal ceremony is written to be uniquely personal to you.

The ceremony can be made extra special by including different elements such as inviting family and friends to be part of the ceremony or including symbolic acts such as hand fasting or the exchanging of rings.

Once I have met with you I will write a thoughtful and personal ceremony built around your story and reflecting the love you share.

Creating a living Eulogy

How will your story be told?

A living eulogy is a way of ensuring that your story is told how you want it to be told, you can describe the events that shaped you and the experiences that made you the person you are today. The person your family and friends know and love.

Too often families realise they don’t know a loved one’s full story and are unable to deliver the eulogy they had hoped for. A living eulogy gives your family the comfort of knowing the details are right when the time comes to arrange your funeral.

I will spend time listening to your story understanding the key moments of your life and the memories you want to be shared before crafting your unique story into your eulogy.

Welcoming The Ones We Love

Naming Ceremonies

A naming ceremony is a beautiful and personal way of introducing your child into the world. As well as announcing the child’s name to the invited guests, the ceremony can include vows of commitment to the child. Often the parents, family and friends are included in making these promises.

A naming ceremony can involve as many or as few elements as you desire. Poetry and music are often included alongside symbolic rituals such as a sand ceremony or tree planting.

I will spend time with you understanding the hopes and dreams you hold for your child’s future and your vision for the day, I will then write a ceremony that reflects this in a personal and meaningful way.
